NJ Attorney General To Host Virtual 'Know Your Rights' Workshop
State attorney general Matt Platkin, a member of Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield, will lead a discussion about civil rights.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The New Jersey branch of the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism (RAC-NJ) will host a virtual “Know Your Rights” workshop with state attorney general Matt Platkin on Friday, Sept. 26.

Platkin – who is a member of Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield – will lead a discussion about how the New Jersey Division of Civil Rights helps to protect people who are targeted due to national origin, religion and/or LGBTQ+ status.

The attorney general will also speak about how he navigates his role as the state's chief law enforcement officer with his identity as a Reform Jew, organizers said.
