Road construction will take place in Bloomfield this week. It may cause traffic delays for local commuters.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Road construction will take place in Bloomfield this week, which may cause traffic delays for local commuters, officials say.

All streets will be closed due to the paving. Detours will be in place. Commuters should expect delays and plan an alternate route. Police officers will be on scene directing traffic, authorities said.

The construction will take place on the following streets/dates:

  • Ampere Parkway between Bloomfield Avenue and Floyd Avenue will have road construction beginning on Tuesday, May 7-11
  • Prospect Street between Glenwood Avenue and Myrtle Street will have road construction beginning on Wednesday, May 8 -11
  • Carteret Street will have road construction beginning on Tuesday, May 7-11
