Safe Stolen During Bloomfield Burglary, Police Say

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A burglary was recently reported on Washington Street in Bloomfield, police say.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to Washington Street on May 9 after a resident noticed that their front door had signs of forced entry.

The resident said a safe containing various items was missing from their home. The items inside were valued at $7,700, police said.

An investigation into the incident continues, authorities said.
