Snow In Bloomfield? See Weekly Weather Forecast, Driving Reminder

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — It’s going to be an ugly week (weather-wise) in Bloomfield, forecasters say.

Here’s what is in store for the Bloomfield area, according to a special weather statement from the NWS:

“Light snow will overspread the area late [Tuesday] evening and continue through the early Wednesday morning hours. The snow will end before sunrise. Snowfall accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are forecast, locally up to 3 inches close to the south shore. Snow covered roads are expected, especially on untreated surfaces.”

“Use extra caution if you are traveling tonight,” forecasters advised.

The NWS shared the following local weather forecast for Bloomfield:

Tuesday Night: Snow, mainly between 10pm and 4am. Low around 28. Calm wind becoming northeast around 6 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of snow before 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 36. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. East wind 8 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Snow and sleet before 11pm, then rain and sleet between 11pm and 1am, then rain after 1am. Low around 33. East wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Thursday: Rain likely before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. East wind 8 to 13 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 26. Northwest wind 11 to 14 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 35.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25.

Saturday: Snow before 4pm, then rain and snow. High near 37. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Saturday Night: Rain. Low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Sunday: Rain. High near 45. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21.
