Soon Thanks Supporters, Endorses Replacement
Candidate Drops out of 2nd Ward Race and is Replaced by Kent Weisert.

To the Editor:
Having now withdrawn from this year’s council race in the 2nd ward, I wanted to take a moment to thank the many people who have been such an encouragement to me during this year's campaign, as well as throughout last year's. From the Bloomfield Republican County Committee, to my family and good friends who have given me such tangible and intangible support, to the many neighbors I’ve met along the campaign trail, I have been so humbled by the responsibilities with which you were willing to entrust to me – that of your own welfare in this town. Thank you. It is people like all of you who continue to keep people like me motivated to fight for this town, a town which, I've learned firsthand, is very much worth fighting for.
That said, please know that while my current job situation no longer allows me to dedicate the time to which I had previously been able - the time that voters and residents deserve from a candidate - I intend to remain involved in town, in order to promote much needed accountability and integrity within our government. And I can do this with a strong sense of hope, because I am confident that Bloomfield's new 2nd ward Republican candidate, Kent Weisert, embodies all the qualities of a good candidate and an even greater leader.

Living in a society that so often promotes a notion of entitlement, spending without consequences, and bigger government as the solution to all ills, it's not too often that I meet an individual whose values of fiscal responsibility, limited government, and individual freedom match my own. Yet in Mr. Weisert, I know that I've met my match. Kent’s genuine concern for this town, coupled with his strong values and years of professional experience, make him just the type of leader that Bloomfield residents and taxpayers would want defending their interests. Over the next few months, I look forward to having Kent reveal his ideas and message to the residents of the 2nd ward, and I hope that you would all lend him your ear.You won't be disappointed.
Truly,
