These Kitties Are Still On The Prowl For A New Home In Bloomfield
The Bloomfield shelter's first cat adoption event of 2024 was a success. But there are a few felines who got left behind in the excitement.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Animal Shelter’s first cat and kitten adoption event of 2024 was a big success. But there are a few felines who got left behind in the excitement – and they deserve some new attention, staff say.
The shelter adopted out 13 of 20 cats to “furever homes” during Sunday’s event, which included reduced fees. Applicants were screened prior to the event to help ensure that they were a good match.

Miss out on the adoption event? Don’t worry – there are still plenty of animals who need a loving home, shelter staff say.
One such pair? Moon and Comet, two brothers who broke hearts when they were “abandoned at the shelter’s gates one cold winter night.”

“They are now available for adoption – and we promised them their next home would never let them down!” the shelter said of the bonded pair.
Another cat who got overlooked at last weekend’s adoption event? Suri – a young female who was found as a stray.
“She may have an ear tip, but she is friendly and not feral,” the shelter reported.
