Star Student Athlete: Isabella Shines Off The Court

BRICK, NJ — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

Volleyball

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

My student athlete has an amazing balance from being an outstanding student, playing on her high school JV team to volunteering her time between three busy in-school clubs (Key Club and Interact and Surf Club, which she had approved last year), volunteering outside school for our recreation department and local library and working part-time at our local party store. I am so proud of her ambition to strive and her energy she puts forth in each of her activities.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

In the classroom, she puts forth the same passion she shows on the court.
