Porchfest: Musical Acts And Road Closures For Saturday in Caldwell
Get into the fresh air and enjoy local acts on 13 porches and at one downtown venue in Caldwell this weekend. Also, some streets will close.

CALDWELL, NJ — Essex County residents will have the chance to support local talent and enjoy a little music outdoors in the second annual Caldwell Porchfest event this Saturday.
From 12:30 to 7 p.m., 25 local bands and musical acts will perform on 13 porches in Caldwell, along with a "Downtown Jam."
The following roads will be closed at different points during the day (12-7 p.m.), the town said:

- Ward Place
- Crane Street between Forest Avenue and Arlington Avenue
- Arlington Avenue between Crane Street and Hatfield Street
- Gladding Road
- Area of 18 Orchard Square
- Caton Terrace
- Harrison Street
- Wakefield Place between Ella Road and Park Avenue
- Overlook Road
- Gould Place between Westville Avenue and Cedars Road
- Washburn Place between Westville Avenue and Cedars Road
The Kickoff
The family-friendly, free music festival kicks off with the big band sounds of Reeds, Rhythm and All That Brass on the main stage at the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and Cleveland Street from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.

Next, audiences can stroll from porch to porch to watch live bands representing a variety of genres from rock to country to jazz between 2 and 5 p.m.
The festival concludes back at the main stage with Caldwell’s own Radio 506 playing pop and rock covers in their signature jamming style from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Festival attendees are encouraged to support downtown restaurants for pre- or post-event meals.
Caldwell Porchfest is sponsored by Project Main Street and organized by local residents as a way to bring the community together and showcase all the town has to offer. This year’s event was made possible with the support of: the Borough of Caldwell, Dial Pest Control, The Graphics Connection, Inc., Joe Valente Plumbing, and The Rotary of the Caldwells.
