West Essex Regional School District will have off Tuesday. Since West Essex Regional Schools did not use all of its allotted snow days this year, the West Essex Regional Board of Education decided to use two of the district's remaining emergency days to lengthen Memorial Day weekend. School will reopen Wednesday.

The fourth annual Art on the Avenue will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Bloomfield Avenue. Put on by the Caldwell Merchants Association, view the work of about 50 awarding-winning artists and stop to eat lunch specials at local restaurants.

In addition, four artists will also paint Caldwell scenes during Art on the Avenue. School children are also participating in the art show. This year young children will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Grover Cleveland Park by creating pictures based on the park.
