Snow Expected In The Caldwells Over Christmas Weekend: See Local Forecast

CALDWELLS, NJ — The Caldwell area is likely to see snowfall over the Christmas holiday weekend, weather forecasters say.

There is a “slight chance of rain and snow” on Thursday for Christmas morning. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Forecasters say they are seeing increased odds of snowfall late Friday into Saturday morning. Travel disruptions are “likely” for the region.

Christmas Day: A slight chance of rain and snow before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Wind chill values between 25 and 35. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. North wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday: A 50 percent chance of snow after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 28. North wind around 6 mph becoming east in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Snow. Steady temperature around 25. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Saturday: Snow likely, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 32. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday Night: Cloudy, with a low around 25.

Sunday: Rain likely, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 39. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Sunday Night: Rain, mainly before 1am. Low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
