Award-Winning Actress Beth Fowler to Speak At Caldwell University

Caldwell University alumna and Screen Actors Guild awardee Beth Fowler will be speaking in the university's Veritas Lecture Series.

Singer and actress Beth Fowler will be speaking at Caldwell University as a part of the university’s Veritas Lecture Series this upcoming March.

Fowler, Screen Actors Guild award winner and alumna of Caldwell University, will speak at the lecture series on Wednesday, March 11, in the John and Mary Westervelt Lecture Hall at 6 p.m., the university said in a release. The lecture is free of admission and open to the public.

Fowler has appeared in numerous roles on Broadway, and been twice nominated for a Tony Award, and in films and television shows, including “The Sister Act” films and “Law and Order,” according to the university.

She also stars in the Netflix original series, “Orange is the New Black”, as Sister Ingalls, for which she won the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Before her acting career, Fowler graduated from Caldwell College for Women in 1962 with a degree in Music Theory.
