Caldwell Hosts Philadelphia in Opening Round of CACC Tournament

Cougars womens basketball team comes into the tournament with a 13-game winning streak.

Caldwell College will host Philadelphia University Saturday in the opening round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament. The game starts at 2 p.m. in the George R. Newman Center.

Admission for the game is $6 for adults and $3 for children, students and seniors. The first 100 Caldwell College students are free, compliments of Student Activities. 

The Cougars (17-11) come into the tournament with the CACC North Division title and a 13-game winning streak, a program record for consecutive victories.

The Rams (13-12) enter the tournament as the fourth seed in the South.

Earlier this season, the Cougars won at Philadelphia, 66-51 on Jan. 26.

The quarterfinal winners will meet in the semifinals on Friday, March 8 at the University of the Sciences’ Bobby Morgan Arena in Philadelphia.
