According to event organizers:Meghan Doyle, a graduate of the Mount St. Dominic class of 2005, was a spirited, engaged and determined member of the Mount community during her four years at the school. She carried these attributes with her to Fairfield University, where she graduated in 2009, and into her professional career at Charitybuzz, a charity auction company. Meghan passed away after a brief and sudden illness in May 2013.
To keep her spirit alive and to carry on her good works, Meghan’s family, with the support of the Mount community, created the MSDA Meghan Doyle ‘05K, which in two years has raised more than $50,000 in support of the Mount’s tuition assistance program.
The excitement continues beyond the finish line with Family Fun Day on the campus of Mount St. Dominic. With something for everyone, this event will begin with a kids’ fun run and will feature “touch trucks,” a Mother’s Day plant sale, a DJ, and more. For added thrills, kids can try their luck at carnival games*, and they can test their skills on an inflatable rock wall or a mechanical shark.
