Caldwell University Invites Area Youth to Join New Percussion Ensemble

High school and middle school percussionists can take part in personalized instruction and performances at the University.

The Caldwell University Music Department is offering middle and high school percussion students the opportunity to join its Youth Percussion Ensemble. “The ensemble provides percussionists with the chance to perform challenging literature with personalized instruction in all percussion techniques,” Alex Bocchino, the director of percussion studies at the university said.

No audition is required. The sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. beginning on September 17. The cost for the 10 sessions including a performance is $299. Students will have a culminating performance at the end of each semester.

The sessions take place in Room 202 in the Student Center Visceglia Arts Building on Caldwell’s campus. For more information, contact Alex Bocchino at ABocchino@caldwell.edu.
