‘Shots Fired’ Call Shuts Down NJ Mall

WAYNE, NJ - Reports of shots fired drew a heavy police response to the Willowbrook Mall Tuesday night, authorities said.

Wayne Police said they are investigating an incident at the mall that involved the reports of shots fired.

“Numerous officers are on-scene and the situation is stable,” authorities said. “We ask that everyone avoid Willowbrook Mall at this time.”

News12 reported that the incident occurred inside the food court of the mall and that, apparently, one shot was fired. They noted multiple people were seen running from the scene.

NJ Transit noted there would be bus delays in the region.
