Associate Pastor Dan Hodge and Pastor David Bulka embraced the opportunity.
“We are a congregation of people who want to be a blessing. Our members are very interested in helping the community,” said Hodge. “The Bible teaches us that he greatest example Christ gave us was as a minister who have Himself to others. Our greatest responsibility is to be a help in whatever way we can.”

First Baptist will use the planned garden as an opportunity to teach children at its Wednesday evening “Bible Builders” club about landscaping. The children will learn about garden design, planting technique and caring for a garden. On Caldwell Beautification Day, they’ll put their lessons into practice and plant a flower garden for all to enjoy.
Other projects planned for Saturday beautification day will include the planting a three season perennial gardens on The Green, weeding and mulching tree beds, hanging flower baskets and American Flags, and cleaning up the entire downtown for spring.
Artwork from the “Beautiful Caldwell” contest, made by students in grades K-5, will be put on display in empty store windows.
