Oaks And Shredding: Earth Day Events Planned For Caldwell Saturday And Monday
Learn about the role local oaks play in the ecosystem, contribute to scholarships, and more in Caldwell for Earth Day.

CALDWELL, NJ — The Caldwell Environmental Commission is sponsoring two free activities for Earth Day this year — a shredding event Saturday that will raise money for students, and a lecture on ecology and trees on Monday. Both events are free.
The group is partnering with the James Caldwell High School Scholarship Committee to run a shredding event. To bring items to shred, please remove paper clips and cardboard. The proceeds
will go for scholarships for James Caldwell High School students. Each participant will receive a reusable fold-up bag to help prepare for the plastic bag ban.
Cali Carting has donated the shredding truck. This event is for residents of the area, running this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind Caldwell Borough Hall.
