CALDWELL, NJ — The disease rabies is almost always fatal, but it's also preventable with vaccinations.

The disease can be spread by infected animals to other animals or to humans.

Each year, the Caldwell Board of Health hosts a Free Rabies Clinic so that dogs and cats over a certain age can be vaccinated.

This year's clinic will be held on Jan. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The clinic will take place at the Caldwell Fire House, located at 30 Roseland Ave.

Parking is available in the lot directly next to the Fire House.
