Grover Cleveland Park Fishing Derby [Photo Gallery]

The Essex County Fishing Derby was on May 4. The following local children were congratulated by Essex County Joseph DiVincenzo Jr. and local officials: 

• Jon Pucciarelo from Caldwell for catching the first fish in the derby in the boys’ category. He caught a fish within the first three minutes of the derby.

• Jack Santoro from West Caldwell for catching the most fish in the boys' 11- to 15-years-old category. He caught 11 fish.

• Brody Meyer from West Caldwell for catching the most fish in the boys' 1- to 5-years-old category. He caught six fish. 

• Ben Endersky from Caldwell for catching the most fish in the boys' 6- to 10-years-old category. He caught 24 fish.

• Francesca Apito from Roseland for catching the most fish in the girls' 11- to 15-years-old category. She caught 12 fish. 

• Cameron Marino from North Caldwell for catching the first fish in the girls' category. She caught a fish within the first three minutes of the derby.

• Saturday, May 18, in Weequahic Park, Newark

• Saturday, June 8, in Monte Irvin Orange Park, Orange

• Saturday, June 15, in Irvington Park, Irvington.
