High School Drama Transports Audiences to 'Almost, Maine'
James Caldwell High School fall production explores love in a remote, mythical town.
Snow will fall early again this year at performances of Almost, Maine, presented by James Caldwell High School on Oct. 18 through 20, at 7:30 p.m., in the Center for Performing Arts.
Twenty-seven student actors will grace the stage on a cold, clear moonless night in the middle of winter, where all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine.
As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.
The New York Daily News called John Cariani's Almost, Maine, “Sweet, poignant, and witty. Nearly perfect.”
James Caldwell High School is located at 265 Westville Ave., in West Caldwell. Tickets are $10 for adults, children and students and $5 for senior citizens for Thursday’s performance only. Tickets are available at the door; however, advanced ticket sales are available online through Oct. 17 at www.showtix4u.com.
