Need Money For Home Repairs In West Caldwell? This Program May Help

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — West Caldwell homeowners who need some money to make repairs to their houses may be able to get a boost from a township program.

The Township of West Caldwell’s Home Improvement Program provides eligible residents with up to $20,000 to make repairs to their property. Permitted uses of the funds include repairs to roofs, foundations, heating, electrical, windows, insulation and plumbing.

The program is sponsored by the township and funded with developer’s fees. There is no cost to apply and it doesn’t affect your credit score. Funds are provided as a no-interest, 10-year forgivable loan. Learn more here.

According to the township, households are eligible for the program if they fall into the following income levels:

• 1 person household – gross annual maximum income of $69,344
• 2 person household – maximum income of $79,251
• 3 person household – maximum income of $89,157
• 4 person household – maximum income of $99,063
• 5 person household – maximum income of $106,988
• 6 person household – maximum income of $114,913
• 7 person household – maximum income of $122,838
• 8 person household – maximum income of $130,763

Funding is also available for rental properties; landlords should contact the township for more information.
