North Caldwell School Board To Hold 1st Meeting Of 2024 (UPDATED)

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — The North Caldwell Board of Education will hold their first meeting of 2024 on Tuesday, Jan. 9. It will take place virtually due to a severe weather forecast that calls for potential flooding.

The meeting was originally set to take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Grandview School cafeteria. There will also be an online Zoom option (see login info below).

"Unfortunately, we are required to conduct this meeting in order to meet certain state-imposed legal deadlines for Board of Education business," the board reported Tuesday.

"In anticipation of severe storms causing hazardous weather conditions, in the best interest of public safety, it would be irresponsible for the Board of Education to conduct this meeting in person, given the state of emergency [in New Jersey]," the board added. "The online Zoom meeting platform will provide transparency and allow the public to participate in the meeting to the same extent as if it were held in person."
