Fairfield Police have arrested an Elizabeth woman for allegedly stealing cable services and committing identity theft.
After a lengthy investigation, Fairfield Police have arrested an Elizabeth woman for allegedly stealing more than $10,000 in cable services from a Fairfield resident.
Darcella L. Dickerson, of Elizabeth, was arrested on Jan. 15 and charged with theft by deception, theft of services, and identity theft, Fairfield Deputy Police Chief Anthony Manna stated.

Dickerson was apprehended on Jan. 15 at a Flora Street residence in Elizabeth, where Fairfield Police were executing a search warrant in connection with the charges.

A Fairfield resident first notified Police last July that since 2010, an unknown person had established a Cablevision account, and had somehow been using the victim’s checking account to pay for it, Manna stated. The victim reported that in excess of $10,000 was paid to Cablevision from her account.
“Detective Michael Nyhuis developed information which lead police to the Flora Street residence early Thursday morning,” Manna reported. “Investigators allegedly found Cablevision bills and other equipment linking Dickerson to the fraudulent account.”
