Mr. Raiani was employed by Verizon for 30 years. He was a father to five sons.

Raymond R. Raiani, 62, of West Caldwell, died on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Jan. 6, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the Dancy Funeral Home, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m., in St. Aloysius Church, Caldwell, followed by the interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.

Born in New York, New York, Mr. Raiani lived in West Caldwell for 27 years.
He was employed as a technician for 30 years with Verizon before retiring in 1998.

Mr. Raiani served in the Army National Guard.
He was a local umpire and official for I.A.A.B.O., as well as a recreational coach for baseball, basketball and soccer.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Helen (nee Leaycraft); sons, Anthony, Albert, Raymond, Richard and James; brother, Jerry; and three grandchildren, Jake, Julia and Allison. He was predeceased by a brother, Allan.
