Road work is scheduled to kick off this week on several streets in North Caldwell.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — Road work is scheduled to kick off this week on several streets in North Caldwell.

According to a notice from the borough, road work will begin at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and continue through Monday, Oct. 21 on the following streets: Maywood Court, Woodmere Court, Edgewood Court, Hemlock Drive, Highfield Terrace, and Knollwood Drive.

“Milling will begin this week with paving to follow next week,” the borough stated. “During milling, you will have access to your street. To facilitate this work and ensure safety, we kindly request that residents refrain from parking on these streets during this period.”

Here are some things to keep in mind as the work progresses, the borough added:

  • Parking – Residents of these roads, please park your car(s) on the nearest side street prior to 7 a.m. on the day of paving to avoid conflicts with the paving activity.
  • Road Closures – During paving operations, the road will be closed to all vehicles.
  • Daily Access – The road will be opened to traffic at the end of each work day.
  • Weather Contingency – This work schedule is dependent on weather conditions. We will coordinate with contractors to minimize disruptions.
