Pretty Kitty Wax Salon Opens Nearby

The first Pretty Kitty wax salon on the East Coast has opened down the road from the Caldwells in Montclair.

The salon specialises in Brazilian waxes, but also provides facial and body waxing, too. 

Lisa Lazzara, director of training and development at the South Fullerton Avenue salon, said The Pretty Kitty originated out west with shops in California and Nevada and has expanded to Texas.

Lazzara said while she was training out west, she encountered many women from New York and New Jersey who suggested the company open sites east of the Mississippi River. 

"Montclair was a great place to start on the east coast," said Lazzara. 

The Pretty Kitty has a visible storefront across from Church Street, with large open windows looking into its reception area. The salon also has four private waxing rooms.

When it comes to waxing, said Lazzara, the key is exfoliation to get the best results.

"To maintain those smooth, sexy, silky results, you have to have the proper exfoliation regiment," she said.
