Three Days Of Rain On Tap For Essex County After Weeks Of Dry Skies

More than an inch of rain may fall in Essex County on Saturday, and more will fall Sunday. Check the full forecast here.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — After several weeks with little rain, Essex County will get drenched from Friday night through Sunday, forecasters say (as of now). As much as an inch may fall Saturday.

The township of Millburn even sent out a special weather alert for the weekend, warning of heavy rains and wind gusts of up to 45 miles per hour.

  • Friday Night: Showers, mainly after 8 p.m. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and
  • half of an inch possible.
  • Saturday: Showers. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
  • Saturday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers.
  • Sunday: Showers, mainly after 2 p.m. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Sunday Night: Showers, mainly before 2 a.m.
  • Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers before 8 a.m.
