The West Essex Art Association will hold itsĀ monthly meeting Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. inĀ Crane's Mill Town Square, 459 Passaic Ave. inĀ West Caldwell.Ā
This month's meeting will featureĀ a demonstration by noted artist Stephanie Deshpande. In this painting demo, she will explain the process of starting a still life beginning with the underpainting, building up the colors, and finalizing the image. Oil painting techniques will be discussed as well as the differences between alla prima and indirect painting methods.

The meeting and demonstration is free and open to all artists and interested parties. Coffee and networking will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the program will start atĀ 8 p.m.Ā sharp. For further information, contact Constance Seugling at 973-239-5005.
The Gateway Group of NJ Sierra Club will present Sustainable Jersey by Gray Russell from 7-9 p.m.Ā in theĀ Verona Park Boathouse, locatedĀ off Bloomfield Avenue on Porcello Lane.
