Trotting for Technology 5K Race, Walk on Sunday

Get your running shoes ready for the Trotting for Technology 5K Race and Walk this weekend. 

The annual race will take place at West Essex High School, at 65 West Greenbrook Road, North Caldwell, on Sunday. The weather for Sunday is expected to be a pleasant 67 degrees and partly cloudy with only a 10-percent chance of rain. 

All the proceeds from the race will be directed toward enhancing technology at West Essex Middle School and West Essex High School. 

Runners and walkers must pick up their packets between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. The race will start at 9 a.m.  

Entry fee will be:

• $20 for pre-registration for West Essex students, alumni, residents and USATF-NJ members 
• $25 for non-residents 
• $30 for same-day registration

The North Caldwell Police Department suggests residents plan alternate routes if you plan on travelling through the area between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.
