Veterans Day is held to honor the nation’s veterans for their “patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good,” according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

North Caldwell will hold a Veterans Day ceremony at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Veterans Memorial site, 141 Gould Avenue. The event will include a gun salute; residents should not be alarmed by the brief noise, a municipal advisory says.
