Water Main Break In North Caldwell Impacts West Caldwell Residents
Nearby residents may experience low to no water pressure until this evening, officials said.

CALDWELLS, NJ — A water main break in North Caldwell is impacting residents in West Caldwell, authorities reported Tuesday.
The West Caldwell Police Department issued the following advisory at 12:02 p.m.:
“Due to a water main break on Mountain Avenue in North Caldwell, West Caldwell residents on Mountain Avenue, Crane Avenue, Gates Avenue and Forest Avenue may experience low to no water pressure until this evening.”
“We will send out an updated message when the water has been restored,” authorities said.

The North Caldwell Water Department also issued a message about the break:
"The North Caldwell Water Department will be performing water main repairs in the vicinity of 89 Mountain Avenue. The road will be closed, and open to local traffic only. For the safety of vehicle passengers and the crew working, please do not drive through any road closure. Water service disruption is likely throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Please expect discoloration once water service is restored; run faucets until water runs clear."
"Thank you in advance for your patience as repairs are made," the North Caldwell Water Department added.
