Water Main Breaks In North Caldwell: See Service, Traffic Impacts

The fallout from a water main break in North Caldwell is expected to last through Monday evening, authorities say.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — The fallout from a water main break in North Caldwell is expected to last through Monday evening, authorities say.

The North Caldwell Water Department will be performing repairs to a water main break on the 200-block of Mountain Avenue, according to a municipal advisory issued at 3:18 p.m.

Mountain Avenue will be closed between Smull Avenue and Hickory Drive. Detours will be in place, with local access permitted only.

Water service disruption is likely throughout the afternoon and into the evening, the advisory continued.

“Please expect discoloration once water service is restored,” the water department stated.

Impacted residents should run their faucets until the water runs clear.
