West Essex Seniors Score in the Top 5 Percent on PSAT Exam

The two West Essex High School seniors ranked in the top 5 percent out of the 1.5 million students nationwide who took the test last fall.

Two West Essex High School seniors scored among the top 5 percent of students in the country on the PSAT exam, West Essex High School Principal Gary Suda announced.

Suda presented Ben and Isabelle with letters of commendation for their achievement. About 34,000 commended students are being recognized throughout the country for their scores on the PSAT exam, which they look last fall.

“Commended students are being recognized for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated for their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used for program entry,” Michelle S. Cicirello, Executive Director of Scholarship Administration for the National Merit Scholarship Program said.

“I am so proud of our commended students,” Suda said. “For them-to rank in the top 5 percent of 1.5 million students across the country is truly an accomplishment.”
