Women In The Workplace: Caldwell Salon Holds Empowerment Event

CALDWELL, NJ — Professional “makeovers.” Wardrobe styling sessions. New photo headshots to help land a job. These were some of the ways that a recent event at a hair salon in the Caldwells helped to prepare a group of ambitious women, organizers say.

Earlier this month, Mane.Lobby in Caldwell partnered with Dress For Success and Reveal Beauty to hold an “empowerment” session for some local women who are developing their careers and achieving economic independence.

Participants got a chance to get hair and makeup makeovers, wardrobe styling sessions and professional LinkedIn headshots, as well as holistic wellness tips.

Volunteers at the event included photographers, videographers, hairstylists, makeup artists, wardrobe stylists and therapists.

It was a rousing success, organizers said.

“We believe that empowering women is a key step towards creating a more sustainable and inclusive economy,” said Cee Ruzzielle, co-owner of Mane.Lobby.

“Mane.Lobby is proud to have partnered with Dress For Success and Reveal Beauty to provide a platform for women to not only enhance their outer beauty but also to recognize and celebrate their significant contributions to economic sustainability,” Ruzzielle added.
