16 License Suspensions For Chatham BOE Rep in Hit-And-Run Crash: Report
John Nonnenmacher has incurred the penalty more than a dozen times since 1994, most recently in October of this year, report says.

The Chatham Township resident and Board of Education representative who hit a fire hydrant with his car and left the scene this month is not inexperienced when it comes to traffic violations.
John Nonnenmacher, who was issued a summons for driving without a license when he crashed on Nov. 13, among other violations, has incurred 16 license suspensions in 21 years, nj.com reported.
Nonnenmacher, with six points on his current record, received a suspension without an expiration term in Jan. 2014 when he didn’t appear in court, the report said. He most recently received an additional 60-day suspension in October of this year, the report said.

Chatham Borough Police investigated a hit-and-run accident on Fairmount Avenue at 2:25 p.m. on Nov. 13 and found a fire hydrant had been struck and knocked off its base with no driver or vehicle to be found.
An investigation uncovered pieces of the vehicle, including the VIN, which lead to identifying Nonnenmacher, who as found just down the road at a business location, police said.

Nonnenmacher acknowledge he did strike something after avoiding squirrels in the roadway, police said.
None of Nonnenmacher’s previous suspensions are due to alcohol or drug-related incidents, nj.com reported.
