The Suburban Music Study Club of NJ will host a gentle recital of classical music in candlelight with Merynda Adams, harp, and Elizabeth "Poppy" Song, violin on Monday evening of January 5th at 7:00 p.m. at Chatham United Methodist Church. Audience members will have a chance to light a candle of hope. All are invited to this free recital!
The Suburban Music Study Club is a gathering of classical musicians and classical music enthusiasts in Northern New Jersey, presenting monthly recitals during the school year and holding a scholarship competition for young classical musicians. For more information go to our website or find us on Facebook and Instagram.

Do you like smiling, laughing, and interacting with friendly folks while getting some healthy exercise? Contra dancing might be for you! Contra dancing is a fun, easy-to-learn style of social dance in a supportive, inter-generational, inclusive community. It’s the cool cousin to square dancing—with hot bands. A hot band is exactly what we have for this dance with Bosnick &amp; Bittel playing with Donna Hunt calling.
If you are new to contra dancing, come for our evening dance on any first and third Saturday evening. Knowing how to dance is not necessary since the caller prompts the moves and guides the dancers. A workshop is given at 7pm prior to the dance to learn basic terminology and some of the dance moves. Pack plenty of smiles!

Supporting the Red Cross helps fulfill its mission by ensuring the availability of a safe and reliable blood supply needed to save lives. You may sign up at the following link provided by the Red Cross. Walk-ins are also accommodated as possible. However, we strongly recommend signing up to guarantee your spot to donate.
