Golf Tourney Helps Chatham 'Bridge The Gap' With $1K Donation
Annual event presents money to organization that helps families during crises.

It’s all about helping your neighbors.
That’s what the Chatham Bridging The Gap nonprofit organization is doing to help those in the community going through hard times, and it recently received a $1,000 donation from an annual golf tournament.
The Greater Lafayette Classic, attended by many Chatham Borough and Chatham Township residents, made the donation to CBTG after its Oct. 2, 2015 event.

The CBTG’s mission is to help those in Chatham who have suffered a death, lost job, divorce, tragedy, or an unexpected household or medical expense.
“There are more families in Chatham than you realize that need the help,” CBTG said in a statement. “Many Chatham residents have already been helped by CBTG and this donation will go far in helping many more.”

The Greater Lafayette Classic has donated to local organizations such as the Chatham Emergency Squad, the Chatham Education Foundation, and the Chatham 9/11 Memorial Foundation, among others, in past years.
