Jordan Dodson at Chatham's Concerts on Main

The Concerts on Main series returns to Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church on March 13, with a free concert featuring Jordan Dodson.

On Friday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. the Concerts on Main series returns at Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church, 286 Main Street, in Chatham, with a free performance by guitarist Jordan Dodson.

Dodson, a New York and Philadelphia based musician, has received prizes in number competitions, including the Astral Artists National Auditions, Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition, Indiana International Guitar Competition and American String Teachers Competition, according to a release from Concerts on Main. He was a Young Artists in Residence on American Public Media’s “Performance Today” in 2013.

Dodson, originally from Columbus, Ohio, performs in several New York City ensembles, including Ensemble Moto Perpetuo, Marcel and Ensemble sans maître, the release said. He received degrees from the Curtis Institute of Music, Manhattan School of Music and the University of Cincinnati.

According to the release, free and open to all, varied hour-long performances by New Jersey and New York City professionals are held during the fall and winter in Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church’s historic and acoustically-engaging sanctuary. Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church is located a block from Chatham’s train station with free parking in the vicinity of the church.
