Chatham High, Lafayette Asst. Principals to be Named
Douglas Walker to be appointed for high school role and Marco Freyre for Lafayette.
The Board of Education meets Monday for its first meeting since June 25, and the first meeting since Dr. Michael LaSusa became the school's superintendent.
At the meeting, the board will vote on a resolution approving contracts for two new administrators within the district, assistant principals for and (LAS).
The two candidates to fill these vacancies are Douglas Walker and Marco Freyre, for the Chatham High and LAS roles, respectively.

"Both are currently employed in other districts in New Jersey, have been vetted by our administration and by the Personnel Committee," school board President Tom Belding said.
The vacancies at LAS and Chatham High opened earlier this year with the resignations of George Alexis and Brian Fleming. Both accepted principal positions in outside school districts.

These two vacancies are among five administrator positions the board has had to fill. The board also hired , a for and for .
Resignations, Contract Approvals and Coaches
The board will also vote on the resignations of Mary Ellen Urbanowicz and Jennifer Wagener, both certified staff at LAS and effective June 30, and of Ariel Morrison, a paraprofessional at (MAS) effective July 13.
Another resolution rescinds the board's approval of Dan Brown as an assistant football coach, and approves two other football coaches, Michael Carrigan and James McKowen. Neither is a current district staff member. Carrigan will not be paid a salary and McKowen will be paid $5,855 for the role.
The board will also vote on a resolution approving Frank DiGiacomo as head swim coach.
The board will also vote on a contract for one tenured staff member, Elissa Cohen-Michel of , and four non-tenured staff members: Megan D'Orio of Chatham Middle School, Mary Renz and Melissa Curcio of LAS and Caitlyn Jackson of MAS.
