CHERRY HILL, NJ — Community and planning efforts in Cherry Hill recently received a $423,294 boost in grant funding, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development recently said.

Specific uses of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program grant include addressing economic development needs, finding ways to overcome the lack of affordable housing and help managing the homeless, according to Alicka Ampry-Samuel, HUD's Regional Administrator for New York and New Jersey.

"These programs also enhance communities, aid local businesses, and provide funding for infrastructure maintenance like water and sewer systems," Ampry-Samuel added. "Most importantly, it is a vital resource for low and moderate-income residents who just need a hand up to support their families and improve their quality of life."
