Gloucester Twp. Man Defrauded SNAP By Using 40 People's Names: Prosecutor

He fraudulently received more than $30K after submitting dozens of applications over the course of 2 weeks, authorities said.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Gloucester Township man fraudulently received more than $30,000 in SNAP benefits by applying with more than 40 names, authorities said Thursday.

In July, the Camden County Board of Social Services alerted law enforcement of suspicious activity regarding applications for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Several applications had the same address and phone number but were submitted under different names, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

During the investigation, detectives found that Andre Streater submitted SNAP applications using the identities of more than 40 people over a two-week period in June, prosecutors said.
