Amici Restaurant Opens New Location In Cherry Hill

Amici Restaurant has a new home in Cherry Hill, one block away from the Italian restaurant's former spot.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Amici Restaurant has a new home in Cherry Hill, one block away from the Italian restaurant's former spot.

On Monday night, Cherry Hill Mayor Susan Shin Angulo and Councilman Bill Carter joined Amici Restaurant and Owner/Executive Chef Alex A. Daku to help cut the ribbon at Amici's new location at 312 Kresson Road, according to township officials.

The building was a 162-year-old farmhouse that was formerly home to Denim and La Campagne.
Amici’s former building is now a private events banquet hall.

Angulo and Carter also presented Daku with a proclamation recognizing his response to the coronavirus pandemic.

In the spring of 2020, he created a nonprofit to ensure those struggling with food insecurity could receive a free meal from Amici, no questions asked. He continued this effort by providing free meals to health care workers and first responders.

Despite the challenges facing the restaurant industry, he also managed to keep the entire staff employed throughout the pandemic.
