Teen Arrested In NJ Home Invasion, Fatal Shooting: Police

Joshua Johnson, 18, has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of 62-year-old Darlene Randall in Pennsauken.

PENNSAUKEN, NJ — A Camden teenager has been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of a woman during a home invasion that took place in Pennsauken over the weekend, authorities announced.

Joshua Johnson, 18, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Regional Task Force in Newark on Wednesday, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Pennsauken Police Chief Philip Olivo.

He has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of 62-year-old Darlene Randall in Pennsauken, authorities said.

Officers found Randall suffering from a gunshot wound while they were responding to reports of a home invasion on the 3700 block of Herbert Avenue just before 2 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.

She was taken to the hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries a short time later, authorities said.

After his arrest, Johnson was transferred to Camden County, where he was processed and charged, authorities said. He was then remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing before the Court.
