Camden Co. Restaurant Has Region's Best Twist On A Cheesesteak: Philly Mag
A local restaurant earned a Best of Philly award for their jerk salmon cheesesteak.

MERCHANTVILLE, NJ — Philly might be the cheesesteak capital, but the best twist on the local favorite is in Camden County, according to Philadelphia Magazine.
Omega's Restaurant in Merchantville recently earned the Best of Philly award for "best take on a cheesesteak" — specifically for "Ms. O's Famous Jerk Salmon Cheese Steak."
The delicacy features chopped salmon with peppers and onions with a "secret" blend of jerk spices, topped with American cheese on a kaiser roll.

"Her secret blend of fiery jerk spices adds a smoky kick to this seafood variation," Philly Mag wrote.
Chef Omega Ellis opened her restaurant two years ago, serving American classics with a Southern flair. She previously worked at McFarlan's Market in Merchantville and Corinne's Place in Camden.
