Camden County, Cherry Hill to Mark Veterans Day

Veterans Day will come a day early this year, with ceremonies at Cooper River and Cherry Hill’s American Legion post both set for Sunday.

The county’s annual service will take place on Veterans Island at Cooper River Park starting at 1 p.m.

The American Legion’s observance, which includes military service medal presentations and a flag retirement ceremony, will start at 3 p.m. at Post 372.

Tim Chambers—known as The Saluting Marine—will also be on hand for the American Legion event, and will arrive in a motorcycle caravan around 2:30 p.m.
