Camden Man Gets Shot On Highway, Drives Himself To Police In Philadelphia: Authorities

The man was shot while driving, authorities said.

PHILADELPHIA — A Camden man was shot and wounded while driving in Philadelphia on Saturday night, authorities said.

A single round struck the 30-year-old in the hip around 10:15 p.m. on Interstate 676 eastbound, according to Pennsylvania State Police. After being shot, he drove toward the Ben Franklin Bridge, where he found Delaware River Port Authority Police and reported the incident.

The victim was brought to Jefferson Hospital with minor injuries. His vehicle was secured, police said.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the shooting.

The victim was interviewed at the hospital, and his vehicle was towed to Pennsylvania State Police in Philadelphia, where it was processed for evidence after being impounded.
