Cherry Hill Council Resumes In-Person Meetings As Pandemic Wanes
Cherry Hill Council returned to in-person meetings last week, but will continue to provide access to meetings via Zoom.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — Cherry Hill Council returned to in-person meetings last week when it discussed marijuana dispensaries and honored a member of the National Guard, among other actions.
It was the first meeting held at town hall in 15 months, since Gov. Phil Murphy called for a statewide shutdown to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
“It was so wonderful to see my colleagues on Town Council and members of the community face-to-face as we regain a sense of normalcy,” Cherry Hill Mayor Susan Shin Angulo said.

“Council and I are continuing to provide access to meetings through Zoom for those who can't make it to Town Hall, but I hope to see more people come out to connect with us in person,” Shin Angulo said.
Town hall is located at 820 Mercer Street in Cherry Hill.
In recent weeks, the town hall, public works and the tax office have all reopened to the public as new cases of the coronavirus drop rapidly. The public school district’s board of education has announced it will return to in-person meetings Aug. 10.
Shin Angulo urged residents to remain cautious, as the delta variant of the coronavirus has seen a rapid increase in the past two weeks. Read more here: COVID Delta Strain Sees Rapid Growth In Camden County
Said the mayor: “As the Covid-19 Delta variant continues to spread and pose a deadly threat to unvaccinated individuals, I strongly encourage anyone who has not yet received their vaccination to make a plan to do so today.”
