Cherry Hill COVID Vaccinations Exceed 70 Percent: Mayor
More than 70 percent of Cherry Hill residents have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, according to Mayor Susan Shin Angulo.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — More than 70 percent of Cherry Hill residents have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, Mayor Susan Shin Angulo said in her most recent update to the community.
“I am so proud of Cherry Hill -- the most recent state data shows that 71 percent of all residents in our township are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including 83 percent of all adults over 18,” Shin Angulo said. “We are one of the small number of South Jersey municipalities to surpass 70 percent fully vaccinated, and I want to thank each and every one of you who has done their part to protect not only themselves, but the overall health of all of our family members, friends and neighbors as well.”
The most recent data provided by the county health department shows that 351,620 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 307,712 are fully vaccinated and 16,166 have received a third dose.

“Many of you may now be wondering about a booster shot to continue to protect yourself against COVID-19,” Shin Angulo said. “Vaccine boosters are now available for adults who are either 65 and older, or 18 and older with underlying medical conditions, or who live or work in high-risk settings. They are limited at the moment to those who received two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech, and who received their second dose at least six months ago.”
Anyone who is moderately or severely immunocompromised can get a "third dose" of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. Read more here: Where Can Cherry Hill Residents Get An Additional COVID Vaccine?
