Chinese Restaurants Open For Christmas In Cherry Hill: See Hours, Availability

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Christmas Day traditions aren't just for those who celebrate Christmas.

For many Jewish-American families, eating Chinese food on Christmas is a prominent tradition — one that took root more than a century ago, when Jewish and Chinese immigrant communities lived side-by-side on New York City's Lower East Side.

But anyone can enjoy Chinese cuisine on Christmas, regardless of faith. And many Cherry Hill restaurants are preparing for a busy holiday.

Patch called Chinese restaurants throughout Cherry Hill to check if (and when) they'll be open on Christmas. Out of more than a dozen we contacted, only one told us they'll be closed.

Contacting each restaurant in advance is recommended because once you're hungry for Chinese food on Christmas, many other residents will be having the same idea. That could mean longer wait times, and some eateries are only accepting takeout orders in advance.

Patch's guide is also admittedly takeout-focused. So if you're looking to dine at one of the listed restaurants, check with them for availability as soon as possible. Reservations are filling up quickly, and some dine-in restaurants are only offering takeout.
