Clerk Attacked in Unsuccessful Motel Robbery, Police Say

Police said he may have fled in a taxi following the attempt.

Cherry Hill Police are asking for the public's help in trying to identify a man they say attacked a desk clerk at a local motel during an unsuccessful robbery last month.

The unidentified man, shown on surveillance dressed in an orange sweatshirt and a hat that partially concealed his face, leaped over the counter at the America's Best Value Inn just after midnight on Nov. 27, police said, and assaulted the clerk.

The man wasn't able to steal anything in the robbery attempt, police said, and ran off to a waiting car in an adjacent parking lot.
